Vegetable salad for good health

Vegetables are good for health. Raw vegetables contain more minerals , vitamins and nutrients . Overcooked vegetables might loose many of the vitamins and minerals. Cut slices of raw or half cooked vegetables are used for the preparation of salads.


Obese people who are planning to loose weight can reduce the intake of carbohydrates and increase the intake of salads /vegetables.


I would like to share a very simple salad preparation recipe .Try it out.


Recipe:


Cucumber - 1
Tomato-2
Onion - one ( small size)
Finely chopped curry leaves - 1 spoon
Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1 spoon
Half boiled green gram sprouts - 2 spoons
Curd /yoghurt- 5 spoons ( optional)
Powdered pepper - 0.5 tea spoon
Salt - for taste


Method of Preparation.


1.Take a glass bowl.
2. Peal the skin of cucumber and cut into small pieces .
3.Cut the tomatoes to small pieces.
4.Cut the onion into small pieces.
5.Mix cucumber , tomatoes, onions and sprouts well .
6.To the above mixture add pepper .
7.Add required salt .
8.Add curd/yogurt to it and mix it well.( Optional)
9.Garnish with finely chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves .


Serve it now!


Hope you all will like the taste . It is very simple to make and just takes 10 minutes  for the preparation.
