Avocados for healthy hair

Avocados are in a class by themselves when it comes to maintaining healthy hair. While some people argue the avocado is a fruit and others insist it's a vegetable, no one argues about the benefits of this powerhouse when it comes to hair health. They are rich in beta-carotene, vitamin B and C, which are essential for hair growth, and vitamin E that ensures cells get the oxygen they need and strengthens capillary walls, promoting good scalp circulation. Avocados' high-fat content also makes them an excellent choice as a hair conditioner. Thoroughly mash a ripe avocado and apply it to your damp hair after shampooing. Leave it in your hair for 10 to 15 minutes, then thoroughly rinse and dry as usual.
